At Charmouth beach, just a few miles along the coast from Flintstones Cottage in Seaton,

there was a Christmas Day Swim with a difference! Dozens of brave swimmers, all dressed in fancy dress costumes, plunged into the sea to raise cash for the RNLI.

Hundreds of spectators cheered the swimmers on and generously donated cash for the RNLI. Volunteer lifeboat crews from Lyme Regis, all wearing Santa hats, were on duty to make sure all the swimmers were safe in the chilly water and more than £1,600 was raised. We hope they had a nice warm fireplace to sit next to when they get out!
